Chef's Hat Correa

Overview

Small shrub that grows dense to the ground and produces the distinctive Correa tubular flowers over Winter.

Care Instructions

Minimal maintenance needed. Occasional tip pruning will encourage a more dense habit.

Plant History

Purchased from Blackheath nursery and planted in Spring 2023. I realised it was falling over in Spring 2024 (a lot of plants seem to do this) and staked it up at the base to try and keep it more vertical.

Tip pruned in Autumn 2024 and responded well. ## Personal Musings

The flowers in this bush are really unique.

With the Leptospermum this was one of the two main shrubs that I planted first. The idea was for these to shield the fenceline with the Western neighbours and it did this well.
