Overview

Raspberries grow on wooden canes and can grow completely from nothing to a metre high in a single season.

Care Instructions

Cut after flowering near the base to prevent the stems to go woody. Can be pulled up cleanly out of the ground (especially when they are not too old), especially on a wet day.

Plant History

The backyard was mostly raspberries when we moved in. Over the first summer they went rampant and the year after I went on a purge. The year after that there were a lot fewer and now they seem to have been forcibly eradicated.

Personal Musings

Raspberries were fun for the first year and it did make a bunch to eat. However they had to go as it was their garden, not mine for a while.
