Care Instructions

Dig out as found making sure to remove the roots.

Plant History

No idea when it started to grow. This is one of those plants that sneaks up on you and just quietly grows until it’s big enough that you think, geez, has this always been there, guess I better care for it now. Council weed rep said it was probably White Poplar and should be removed in March 2023. Removed shortly after that.

During removal I noticed that the base had a larger previously cut trunk (few inches in diameter) that the current stems were sprouting from. The previous owner must have used to have a larger tree that was cut down by chopping it at the base, but this didn’t kill it.

Personal Musings

I am happy to remove this plant. It was a weird size and shape. Half the time I don’t know what I should be keeping or removing. Thankfully, the council weed rep said it was probably White Poplar and should be removed which made my life much simpler. Thank you council weed rep.
