Overview

Planted in a rhodo/azaela potting mix (ericareous) and soil where the lemon tree used to be. Responded well to this mixture.

A minor lean during initial growing was corrected with a tripod of stakes around it.

Purchased from the Mount Banks botanical garden in October 2024.

Personal Musings

I really like the idea of growing a Wollemi pine. They are very interesting from a historical perspective, but also have interesting cones, bark and leaves and grow nice and straight, but not too tall.

This one has a worrying tendency to lean, however he’s made it through his first two years alive. I hope it survives as it is an expensive plant.
