Bloom Season
Blooms in:November, December, January
Overview
A perennial with a distinctive orange flower that reshoots from underground small spherical rhizomes. This is a BMCC local priority weed.

Care Instructions
Remove by gently tugging out. The bulb normally comes out cleanly with the main part of the plant, but if it doesn’t make sure to dig it all out. Keep an eye on the area next year as there may be additional bulbs that were not captured.
Plant History
Routinely appear every year in the front yard as Spring starts. Consistently removed and numbers appear to be decreasing from their peaks.
Personal Musings
It sort of looks like Dianella when it is growing. The foliage is softer and a lighter green though. Walking around town you can see small slopes covered in this in Summer.
