Ilex aquifolium

Overview
Small shrub with distinct green pointed leaves. Eventually grows into a medium sized tree. Fruits with red berries. Classified as a Local Priority Weed by BMCC. ## Care Instructions
Dig out as found making sure to remove the roots. When found small, it is typically pretty easy to remove.
Plant History
Pops up every now and then. The best place I have found it is growing in between the two main trunks of the big pine tree. It must have ended up with some seeds there from a bird and there was enough organic matter trapped in the corner that it could put down some roots.
Personal Musings
This is satisfying to remove as it is so petite when it first pops up. Its angular shapes and dark green colour clearly identify it as a foreigner, it doesn’t look very native at all.
