Care Instructions

Water weekly with a whole watering can (at least 10L) regardless of the rain for at least the first 6 months. After that, it can be watered less frequently if it is wet, however does not like to be dry.

Plant History

Purchased from the Blackheath nursery and planted in August 2025.

Personal Musings

This plant is in memory of our trip to Japan earlier in the year. We saw a lot of cherry blossoms in the northern part of the main island in April and I was inspired to see if I could replicate this in Blackheath. Blackheath gets cold enough to support this, but it remains to be seen how the tree will fair in the longer term.
